The title "MESS HALL" is repeated three times over each image in a lime green crayon and in a handwritten font.

You are invited to Mess Hall, where we embrace the chaos of caring for each other.

We are putting on a feast with a twist! Do you want to eat with us, learn about each other's needs and communication styles, and get messy in the process?

Disabled people have to rely on support - we don’t have a choice. In the Mess Hall, you will rely on each other to eat - feeding your fellow mess-mates, and asking others to feed you. We want you to learn about each other’s needs, and ask for help, no matter how messy it gets.

Come along to taste the mayhem and the edible creations by Kat Keane, made in response to Yucky’s ideas and materials.

Yucky and the Reading Room, located in the ACE foyer, will also be open during the event.

People of all abilities are welcome.

This event is Auslan interpreted.

Please note: This event will require you to be interactive with the process of feeding each other. There will be handling of cutlery and food that you will need to consent to be involved with for this event.
