Islands are Mountains is an exhibition and performance program of contemporary First Nations art exploring the multifaceted landscapes of collective memory.

Shape-shifting, time-travelling, body-based, non-linear: the trickster figures in this project weave First Nations worldviews into stories which offer fluid alternatives to rigid   categories and outmoded narratives, proposing instead an embodied, experiential way of being and knowing the world.

Yalaka Kaurna miyurna itu yailtya, tapa purruna, yarta kuma puru martinthi, puru warri-apinthi, puru tangka martulayinthi. Ngadlurlu tampinthi purkana pukinangku, yalaka.
